Chitrachintaa Photographers Circle is the 57th affiliated organization of the Bangladesh Photographic Society. It is also recognized as a cooperating organization of two international photographic bodies—the Global Photographic Union (GPU) and the Turkey-based Fotogram Photo Club.

The journey of Chitrachintaa began on August 19, 2020, World Photography Day, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The founding intention was to focus on writing and research related to photography and to honor the memory of legendary photographers who paved the way for the art form. To commemorate its foundation day, Chitrachintaa organizes a free photo contest every year on August 19.

Building on these initial goals, the organization gradually expanded its vision to become a full-fledged and active photography collective. Since then, it has been steadily moving forward with dedication and purpose. Its activities now encompass photography training, exhibitions, competitions, journal publications, photowalks, and various other creative initiatives.

Chitrachintaa is not confined by geography—it sees itself as part of the universe. It aspires to become a current in the great global stream of creative photographers around the world.
